Pilot Program Helping Communities Fight Package Theft

Package Guard’s mission is to help communities prevent package theft. If your community is having issues with package theft, you are not alone. And we want to help.

Pilot Program:

As a Seattle-based company, we’ve created a Pilot Program to help local communities deter and prevent package theft. We’re partnering with affected neighborhoods and police in Washington to provide them free devices and a community liaison. There is no cost to the program and the Package Guard device is yours to keep for life, with no recurring fees and no strings attached. Our ask is for feedback that helps us continue to be more effective helping our customers prevent package theft… To run the pilot in your neighborhood, we need at least 25 homes.

We’re currently working with neighbors in Upper Queen Anne, and are looking for new neighborhoods who want to partner with us.

To apply for our free Pilot Program, click here and tell us about what’s happening in your neighborhood with a brief application. We can’t serve all communities with this program and are always happy to offer a bulk discounts for 10 or more Package Guards if you’d like to self-organize around getting this going in your community. Send an email to hello@packageguard.com for more details.

About Package Guard:

Package Guard is a frisbee-sized smart sensor that sends real time alerts when a package or home delivery arrives so you have peace of mind knowing what you ordered is on your doorstep. Download the free IOS app for easy setup. If a delivery is removed without authorization the app sends notifications to you and an invite-only group of friends or neighbors while the device sounds a loud 100 decibel alarm that draws attention to the thief.

  • Package Guard is powered by 4 AA batteries which will last 6-9 months. Batteries are included with purchase.
  • Package Guard can sense as little as 1 lb. (16 oz.) and up to 100 lbs. It can detect if additional (or multiple) packages are added.
  • Package Guard is 11.75 inches in diameter and 2 inches thick. It is waterproof and can operate from -20 degrees to +140 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Package Guard connects to any standard  wifi network.
